April Snow Showers…..Bring May Snow Showers?

Despite the erratic weather this April, we have been busy planting in our gardens. In our veggie boxes, children have already spotted radish leaves and peas sprouting from the ground. Today, we turned the soil in our garden in the front grass and planted kale and lettuce. We have also transformed our cottage into a potting shed where the children can play with pretend flowers in soil. Hopefully, all our plants will survive the projected 6 inches of snow this evening. Perhaps snow clothes tomorrow for the first day of May?

We have been just as busy inside with projects. In the science room, our lab bench project is making a bird’s nest and our dinosaur of the week this week is one of the smallest, Compsognathus which was no bigger than a chicken.

It is hard to believe that our school year is almost over and Sunflower graduation is right around the corner. Not to mention, summer camp begins in only 5 WEEKS! Summer packets are due Today April 30th for enrolled families and if you are interested in our summer program you can email that request to sunflowerpreschool@yahoo.com
