Our Facility
Sunflower Preschool is located on one and a half lots in a remodeled house in the South Boulder neighborhood of Martin Acres. The building consists of two large rooms with solar tubes and an additional sun room for the science museum and office. The openness of the school promotes the children’s independence as they explore the multiple learning centers. 
Each classroom opens up onto a remodeled trek deck. The deck is used as an extension of the classroom throughout the year. Our large outdoor classroom consists of various gardens, climbers, slides, swings, a sandbox, outdoor grassy areas, and creative play areas.

1990-1992 (SUNFLOWER GRADUATE): NICK LEGGETT, AGE 16, MONARCH HIGH SCHOOLI will always remember my time at Sunflower Preschool. It stands out as one of the best parts of my education and my life. Sunflower wasn’t an ordinary place for me. It was special. I learned to be independent and creative. The hands-on activities were unique and were related to the real world. The things I learned at Sunflower are things I still use today.

2011- PRESENT (PARENT): RABBI JAMIE KORNGOLDSunflower has been a wonderful environment for our daughter. At Sunflower Preschool, children learn the art of friendship. Children are taught to be compassionate, caring, and just. Many of us like to believe that being a friend is something that develops naturally, but in reality it must be taught, modeled, and guided. Equally importantly, at Sunflower Preschool, children develop a love of learning. Their curiosity is ignited and their inclination to pursue knowledge is cultivated.
